Charges filed in Ulysses infant's death

ULYSSES – Prosecutors have charged a woman with involuntary manslaughter nearly a month after her daughter died in an unattended parked vehicle.

Andrea Boese, 28, of Ulysses, was charged in Grant County District Court on Wednesday in connection with the death of her 7-month-old daughter, Kynadee Boese.

The infant died on Sept. 13 after being left alone in a vehicle in the parking lot at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, police reported. Boese worked at the hospital, but officials declined to say if she was on-duty at the time.

Temperatures reached 90 degrees that day and at the time officials said the child was left in the car for a number of hours.

Boese was is free on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 5.
